The attention on Islam is unprecedented these days. The focus to change it by any means is now the objective of the western countries.

We discuss this issue from the perspective of our noble Rasool (SAW). How he also faced the calls for change and when he did not concede to the demands of the Quraish, they resorted to boycott, intimidation, offers of bribery and more.

The Muslims today who call for Islam also face this exact same scenario in the West.

This talk is an introduction to the talks to come over the next few weeks, where we will be discussing how we respond as Muslims to the attacks and demands of the Western countries.

However this time we will be discussing the positive aspects of Islam and how it really has a place in today’s world to solve the corruption, the crime, the economic issues and the all the other problems that exist and are faced by Muslims and Non-Muslims.

We hope Insha-Allah that we all have the confidence to become the ambassadors for Islam, as Allah (swt) requires us to and convey it in the best of manners.

The Rasool (SAW) Said “Be aware of Satan, for your safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

There are a lot of influences today slowly pressuring the Muslims away from Islam. There are calls to modernise Islam from various voices in the UK.

The title of the talk being used as an example of how the Muslims in Britain should do this, by allowing mixed, unsegregated congregations to take place.

This week’s talk discusses these calls to modernise Islam how we should respond to this. Can Islam be modernised? What does it mean to modernise it?  What can we change if anything of it?

These are some of the import questions answered in the talk.

This week saw a lot of diplomatic activity with regard to Pakistan.

Hilary Clinton mentioned Pakistan in her speech to the US congress and we saw Gordon Brown make a surprise visit, make speeches calling certain areas of Pakistan as a crucible of terrorism, as well as offer money to the Pakistani Prime minster.

Were all these efforts and mentions there to help Pakistan or were there other motives?
This week’s talk discusses the real reason why the attention on Pakistan is growing on a daily basis.

There has recently been a lot of attention on the Police.
There have been random stop and searches, normally targeting the Muslim youth. There has also been the raids on innocent people’s houses.
Now the Police are under investigation for the alleged assault of demonstrators at the G20 demonstrations, and in once case the investigation involves a death.

Further to this there have been recent high profile arrests with all of those arrested at gun point being release without any charge whatsoever.

The question then arises where is the justice? Where is the accountability? Are these on off events or is the problem a bit more complex?

This weeks talk addresses these issues and more.

The Government wants to make Sex and Relationship Education mandatory from the age of 4! What does this mean for the Muslim Community?

Do we want to see sex outside of marriage, illegitimate children, abortions, homosexuality? Because this what it will encourage or do we have an alternative as Muslims?

This week’s talk discusses this issue in detail and goes into details of why the government feels that it needs to teach 4year old children this subject. Is it to a reaction to a problem in society?

The claim by the Bangladeshi Government was that the BDR (the Boarder guards) started a Mutiny as a result of protest over pay. This incident resulted in over 140 high-ranking Army officials being killed along with their families and all the perpetrators being allowed to escape.

However if we scratch just below the surface, we see that this mutiny is not what it seems.

Rather it is another plan hatched to weaken the armies in another Muslim country.

This weeks talk goes into the details of the events on what really happened and how this is just another plan to divide the Muslims and the Army in Bangladesh so that they fight amongst each other.

Is Pakistan a Failed State?
icon1 Qaisar | icon2 Previous Circle/Talks | icon4 Friday 6th Mar, 2009, 10:00 PM| icon3No Comments »

Pakistan has been in the media quite a lot recently for a variety of reasons.

The main point of discussion was the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team and whether there was sufficient security for the team.
However the discussion quickly became  larger than this issue of the attack on the cricket team to a discussion of whether Pakistan is failing as a state, whether it can really provide security and protect its nuclear weapons from misuse?

This week’s talk discusses these issues, but then also goes down to the root of the problem, namely that Pakistan was a failed state from the moment it left the Islamic sources, this being the real cause of its failure.

The discussion also goes into how we as Muslims can stop this decline and failure and revive the nation with the Islamic ruling system the Khilafah.

Another March the 3rd has come and gone. The anniversary, of the destruction of the Islamic ruling system the Khilafah system.

This week’s talks discusses as yet another year goes by, we should remind ourselves, why it is that the Muslim Ummah is in such a state around the world, why we have no justice on this earth, why we have no protectors on this earth. How our dignity and our lives are being taken away on a daily basis.

How Allah (SWT), the Rasool (SAW)and Islam get insulted on a daily basis with impunity.

This week’s talk discusses all these matters and at the same time, gives us hope and motivation that we should be working ever more hard to bring this Sheild back to protect Islam and the Muslim Ummah.

icon1 Qaisar | icon2 Previous Circle/Talks | icon4 Wednesday 18th Feb, 2009, 10:28 PM| icon3No Comments »

Numerous discussions have been had with regard to the Muslims in Palestine, the Israelis and the solution for all.

Often we here certain voices call for a Two State solution in Palestine. Usually the proponents are Western Nations as well some Arab regimes who all have their own vested interests in this solution.

This week’s talk discusses this vital issue. Will a two state solution really provide a solution for the Muslims living there? Will it really bring them security? Will they be allowed to return to their land and houses that had been in their possession for centuries? But most importantly what is the Islamic perspective on this solution.

This week’s talk discusses this issue in detail.
